2000 Southwest Airlines M737 Burbank, CA
After a steep and fast approach, aircraft overran end of runway, went through a perimeter fence and across a highway. Many of the 137 passengers and 5 crew members were injured.
 
2000 Alaska Airlines MD-83Near Point Magu, CA
After reporting mechanical trouble, the aircraft crashed into the Pacific Ocean causing the death of 83 passengers and 5 crew members. Failure of the horizontal stabilizer is suspected.
 
1999 Egypt Air 767 Nantucket, MA
This aircraft crashed into the Atlantic after the autopilot disengaged and the aircraft entered a steep descent.
 
1998 Swiss Air MD-II Halifax, Nova Scotia
This aircraft crashed into the Atlantic after the crew reported an emergency. An electrical fire was suspected.
